Council Council Council Newsletters Minutes Permits Forms and Applications Bylaws Committees GIS Mapping Utilities Consumer Advocate Home > Council > Council News and Notes from the Village Office In preparation for the new Municipal Development Plan , the Village of Coutts conducted a Municipal Development Plan Community Survey in the Spring of 2019. This survey captures the vision and goals of residents of Coutts, identifies issues and concerns, and will inform policy and direction in the forthcoming Village of Coutts Municipal Development Plan. In the interest of transparency and to further community discussion the results of the survey are posted here . Working with the results of the survey, and public meetings, the new Coutts Municipal Development Plan Bylaw 570 was passed in March of 2020. Acting on the recommendations of the survey and plan, Bylaw 578 regarding Dangerous and Unsightly Property was passed in April of 2021. The County of Warner and the Village passed an Intermunicipal Development Plan Warner County & Coutts Intermunicipal Development Plan Bylaw No 954-19 & 573 in March of 2020. Coutts Community Library Our community library is part of the Chinook Arch Regional Library system giving patrons access to 27 libraries across Southern Alberta. Hours : 2:00-7:00 pm Tuesdays 10:30 am-2:30 pm Wednesdays 2:00-7:00 pm Thursdays Coutts Recreation and Arts Society Buy your annual memberships at the Village office. Read about the Society and download an application form here! You will require Adobe Reader. Family $130 Couple $100 Single $60 Recreational Facilities The Historic Coutts Village School, operated by the Coutts Recreation and Arts Society (CRAS) features a full wood floored gymnasium for basketball, volleyball, pibadminton, floor hockey or any other indoor sports you can think of, a stage for plays, speaking events, entertainers and a workout room with various machines for year round exercising. There are also classrooms available which can be used for art or craft studios and work space, and a kitchen. There is a large outdoor playground here as well and a soccer field.
