Contact Us Upcoming Events View All Discover Coutts The Village of Coutts is situated in beautiful southern Alberta, just one hour south of Lethbridge, two hours north of Great Falls, Montana, and two hours east of Waterton National Park in Canada and Glacier National Park in Montana. The Port of Entry at Coutts is a 24 hour border crossing, with over one million travellers and nearly five hundred thousand trucks passing through annually. To the east lie the Sweet Grass Hills. Sacred to the Blackfoot aboriginal people, this formation can be seen for miles, and therefore became and still is a focal point for travellers. You will never forget the first sunrise you see over these hills. What a great way to start your morning! In the Summer the population of the village triples as we celebrate Coutts Days, a weekend of homecomings, slowpitch tournament, a parade, pancakes, fireworks, and the Coutts Grass Rodeo. Sit in the shade and read a book from the Coutts library while the kids play in the spray park. Stop off for ice cream to enjoy on your walk home at the end of a hot summer day. As you pass the tennis courts, think about challenging your neighbour to a match some evening. Winter brings the Community Light Up when everyone celebrates with a pot luck supper, hayrides and of course Santa. We have numerous active groups in the area such as 4-H, Coutts district Seniors Club, Southern Alberta Outdoorsman, Curtain Call of Milk River and District live theatre, Rodeo Club, Book Club, Further Education community courses, to mention a few. Our volunteer fire department and medical first responder service is among the best, and we are just ten minutes away from the Milk River Hospital and Medical Clinic, which also has Long Term Care Facilities. The Prairie Rose Lodge in Milk River offers comfortable independent living for seniors in our area. If you want to come visit us, Writing on Stone Provincial Park , and Gold Springs Park offer many serviced and non-serviced camping sites, or make a reservation at the Double Tree Motel in Coutts. There are also classrooms available which can be used for art or craft studios and work space, and a kitchen. There is a large outdoor playground here as well and a soccer field.
